I grew up on a farm, first in South Dakota and then in Minnesota. When I met the man of my dreams, I relocated to New York. We lived there for many years and then relocated to Vermont, and later Texas, and to my delight settled back in Minnesota. Each of those life changing moves altered how I look at things. As a child I learned from my Mom to make little dolls from frilly hollyhocks and toothpicks, and to make the most delicious items from our rhubarb patch. It gave me the skills to make something out of nothing. I moved out east when I married and our yards always had a patch of each. I have had a doll clothing and accessory store, sold a variety of handmade items wholesale for years.
I am still married to my wonderful husband, have two daughters, a son-in-law, and four adorable grandchildren who are obviously the light of my life. I enjoy time spent in my studio creating or repurposing home decor and doll clothing.
I hate to throw away anything and love to incorporate saved items in my art. It gives me such joy to create and my mind races with possibilities when I see bargains at garage sales or thrift stores. And yes, I have to admit to dumpster diving a few times in my life! Please enjoy this site and email me if you would like more information on anything you see.
